Don't wait up hon' I'm going fishing

Don't scroll down there are no darling pictures of our rug rats holding fish, poles, or even anywhere near water I'm going fishing figuratively for comments.

I love comments y'all so please feel free or even obligated to leave them. I thought you had to be a blogger member to leave a comment but you don't, just click a-niny-mouse, for those of you who don't watch highly intellectually shows like Arthur that would be anonymous. But don't forget to leave your name so I know who you are.

I know you don't have anything better to do with your busy day so just comment away.

I read in Parenting this morning that 8 out of 10 married moms say nothing makes them feel prettier than a compliment from their husband. I know that holds true for me, it's always nice to hear some likes the clothes you are wearing or the way your hair is styled but to hear it from the hubby is always best. I think for me it's true because he sees me at my worst, bead head, morning breathe and all and can still find me attractive. Truth be told, the compliments I love the best are when I think I look awful but he thinks I look pretty just because I am me. What a great guy!

I am a clever clever Mama

At ten this morning when I was finally going to shower, because eventually Jeffrey will come home and I don't want to smell like a boys locker room, Kati asked me to do puzzles and where ever Kati is Bear is sure to follow. Now let me tell you I am not a fan of puzzle time and it's not that I don't want to enrich my children's brains it's the fights that follow. No, the fights aren't with Bug but with my Bear but who can blame him when he only has two puzzles he is able to do. Just imagine if you were only aloud to read the same two blog entries while you watched you older sister, who you are sure is much more favored, reads as many blogs as she likes. Well anyway puzzles are not the highlight of my Saturday so I say "you guys go pick up you room while I take a quick shower and then we can do the puzzles". Well that was two hours ago and they are still cleaning. I should tell you that the mess in their room was so slight that I could have cleaned it in less than two minutes. But I may have come across something truly brilliant here, as long as they are still "cleaning" I have free time. As far as I am concerned as much as Jeffrey has been gone they can clean until 2008. I must rush off so I can spend a few more moments in as much quite as I can get before someone ask for something unreasonable like lunch.

Flashback Friday

Jeff's probably going to strangle me for adding this picture but it makes me smile. This is us (obviously) when we were about 14. He loved me way back then, even though I was the crabbiest girl you could ever meet. I don't know how he fell in love with me, no wait I do, God crafted Jeffrey just for me, to love me in spite of my moods, even though I am not always the easiest person to live with; to even love me in my ding-dong moments (like when I was worried that the painted numbers on our curb were to faded and the fire department wouldn't be able to find our home if it caught fire, it's sad but true). I believe long before God created this world He knew me and knew I would need not just any man but Jeffrey in my life to love me just as I am. I couldn't ask for a better husband. He is more than I ever dreamed I could have. I love you baby.

We finally made it back

we haven't been to the zoo since May and the kids having been waiting on pins and needles to go back. Added bonus, Grandma came too. Oh, and not that Timbo knows whats going on but it was his first trip. They love when the elephant is in the water
The kids with Grandma
The day just started and he is already out

That must have been some great nap
On the hunt for birds, he was so brave
That was one big spider. To bad the kids didn't care I could have stayed for hours.
I love my babies

Not as great as Sea World but its still sharks
Bear wanted to know when we were going to sit on the other one that was hot
Yummy
Gahrail

He actually saw the crocodile. He even laughed once, it was too cute.
Hey, what about those cheeks.
This was the first time I have ever seen him out of the water
Doesn't she look like she is swimming
Napping again
They love the otter.
When the zoo is having a slow day they can spend forever in this area.
We had a great day!

what a cutie

Hey Good Looking, Whatcha Got Cooking

Somebody should have warned Timothy that I just love putting my babies in small things (e.g. pumpkins, witches cauldrons, small photo boxes and now a soup pot)

Happy three months little guy

Thank You Thank You Thank You

Isn't that the cutiest! Our friend Erica made it for our precious Timothy

My artist

This was Kati's first time to draw a house.

Says the neighbor kid

Bratty neighbor kid (not really, he has more manners than some adults I know) : so you stay home all day

Me: yeah (I'm so good with making conversation)

BNK: wow that must be easy

lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol

I love me some Sonic ice y'all

it's great for munchin' and the price is almost the same as gettin it at a gas station but I feel so bad watchin those skinny girls lug it out to my car.
This is what my day has consisted of cleaning toys, cleaning toys and oh yeah cleaning toys.
I woke up a 5:30 this morning from Timothy very quietly letting me know he was hungry. I brought him back to bed with me and fell asleep again only to be woken up by Bears need to go potty and Kati saying she needed to throw up. Rise an' shine everybody! Kati threw up two different times the poor thing and Bear, being the middle child, just couldn't be left out and decided to roll around on the floor and cry. He then declared he needed to throw up (after watching the attention Kati was getting) and just stood over the potty because two year olds don't know how to fake barf. I realized after all this that I have not washed their toys in some time and I needed to rid our home of these germs.
Here they are being cleaned in the tub....

and now drying. See all the toys in the front in nice little rows, that is when I first started. I started early this morning and I am still cleaning; at this point the kids could be aloud to keep one toy a piece and I would be fine with that. If you think your kids don't have that many toys then just start cleaning everything and you will discover you are in great need of a garage sale. Anyway after I had already started this process I came to the conclusion that Kati isn't sick sick it is just her allergies. You are probably thinking allergies don't make you throw up, well there is only so much snot you stomach will hold before it wants to get rid of it.

Just think y'all it's after two I have yet to have shower(trust me I need one), I need to wake Kati for "school", I am still cleaning toys, dinner will have to be made at some point (by the way lunch was eaten it the kitchen floor), and I still have to, oops I mean get to watch the kids for seven more hours until bed time.

Gotta love that Bear

Here are some resent Bear moments

  • Heard through the baby monitor "Hey everybody come look, the baby is smiling at me"
  • "Mom I can't hear the radio when I wear my hat" by the way, in the south no one wears a hat that covers your ears in September
  • "Mommy my finger hurts" he whines so I ask what's wrong "Because I'm hungry"
  • And this just happened today.......Kati was in time-out and after a few minutes Brendon went to sit with her. I made him get up much to his dismay. After a moments thought he came to me with a lie so he could go to time-out too. Pretty dumb but you have to admit it's pretty smart too.

These words actually came out of my mouth

"Kati if you don't stop telling Bear his colors he is never going to learn them."
???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
I promise it made sense at the time

Tonight my heart breaks for my girl. As I got her ready for bed she began crying that she was not ready for bedtime. No surprise there, every night she and Bear both say this. However tonight as she was in her bed you could see the terror in her eyes. She told me she was afraid and wanted to sleep with me. When I told her I wasn't going to bed but was staying up to work she told me she wanted to work with me. My heart broke as I had to tell her no. She told me she was afraid of monsters. As I stood there and told her that she was fine and there was nothing to be afraid of I felt like a hypocrite because I know that on this night just like every night I will sleep with the hall light on because I am afraid. I feel awful thinking of her lying in her bed scared because even though I can be a bear of a mother when it comes to people messing with my kids once the sun sets there is different side to me, one of a child. So all I can do is smooth back her hair, plant a kiss on her beautiful face and assure her that everything is alright (even though I don't always believe it) and pray that my Lord will take care of her, ease her mind and give her peace.

Here is my first born, my angel, my miracle, my bug

Sorry it took me so long to add this slide show, but you know I have all this extra time to scane pictures while I care for three children

Flashback Friday

But wait you say, it's Saturday. Yes, you are right. My first time for Flashback Friday and I didn't do it. Happy Birthday Grandma!!

Thursday, September 13, 2007

Kati had her well check today. She is 33 1/2 pounds putting her in the 50% for weight, and 40 1/2 inches putting her in the 75% for height. She is growing much to fast. Four shots today, count 'em four. Needless to say she was not a happy camper but we had a great nurse who was very patient.

The joy of Puggles

My bear is learning about the Lord and we are so excited. I know he is paying attention because I asked him when God made the light and he said "On the one finger". Ms Lisa made them hold up a finger and said God made light on the first day. This is a picture of us doing one of the suggested activities from Puggles. We were talking about how God made the light and the light helps us to see things. Even though Kati isn't in Puggles she learning from it too and Bear is learning from listening to Kati from Cubbies. Bear can say parts of Kati's verse and Kati can say his.

My Bear

At last count there were six babies in bed with him. Pretty soon we are going to have to get them a separate bed.

Birthday cupcakes with friends

If you are wondering were Bear's cupcake is, well I'm one of those mean moms that makes you eat your dinner first. Now in my own defense we had already done the birthday thing before so it's not like he really missed out on anything but yes I'm sure it will be discussed in therapy in the future.

Opening gifts

Just like me she is so reserved when opening gifts but she loved them.
