Our newest family member

The kids have been asking for a dog for about a year and a half. Which is surprising if you know our kids because when dog comes near they act as if it's a Sasquatch instead of man's best friend.

I haven't wanted a dog. I don't want to pay vet bills. I don't want to have to have someone take care of it if we decide to travel. I don't want to be the one to have to take care of it. Some how they have worn me down.

Jeff looked on Craigslist for about a week before we found her and she was worth all the searching and hassle it took to get her......

Isn't she a doll! And she is so tiny too.

As you can see Kati is still nervous....well that was true when this picture was taken, now they are the best of friends.
Jeff didn't get home with her until almost ten at night but he really wanted to wake the kids. Bear was so tired he couldn't stay awake to meet her.

We tried again with Bear later and he was in love.

The sunsets here......

well, there is just no way to describe them.

Not sure why but when I saw this this morning it tickled me. Since we have moved it Jeff, Kati and I have all been extra good about putting things away. Without knowing it we all de-shoed last night at dinner, done after a long day, and just forgot to put them away after dinner.

We finally made it to Arizona! I love it here. Don't get me wrong, I definitely miss our family and friends back in Texas, but Arizona is great. First of all Jeffrey is here. The weather has been amazing (I know I know, I won't be saying that in a few months). The kids school is less than a mile from our home. Just about everything I need is on two streets very close to our home. My husband is here. The drive around here is gorgeous. The sunsets can have no rival, they are absolutely breath taking. The dry air here is really helping my acne. Jeffrey is here. Our house....I don't even have words for it. Our landscaping in our backyard is great. To top it off our fence is concrete and over 6 feet tall, total privacy. The layout of our house is perfect for letting the kids play in the backyard while I cook supper. There are palm trees all over the place, even our yard. Ooooh, in our backyard I have a lemon tree. Did I mention my husband is here. There are two parks within walking distance from our home. Our neighborhood is wonderful, there are kids out playing all the time, people riding their bikes, walking their dogs. The kids made friends right away. Oh, and my husband is here. And I am content here. I haven't felt like that in.....I don't know how long. Nothing in life is perfect, there are still things I would like to change but I am happy. I find myself doing things around the house, doing laundry, making dinner, sweeping floors and I don't mind, in fact I feel glad to be doing them. That is a great feeling.

Christmas Parties

I was grateful once again that the kids party was on a day I wasn't working. I made sure to bring the camera since they would only see their friends one more day. I had one picture in mind that I was certain I wanted to take....This was just a deco picture. Don't get me wrong, we love this girl. Kati is crazy about her and they have become good friends this year. However there was another picture I really wanted. I tried to talk Kati into to it and when that didn't work I told she had no choice....

Meet Brett, Kati's crush for this year....and the feeling is mutual. Isn't he a cutie! And he is smart too. She was embarrassed but someday she and I will enjoy this picture together. AND GRANDPA, GO EASY ON THE TEASING.

Pack it up Day

They kids were supper excited about the movers coming to pack us up. We had a fun breakfast in the living room so there wouldn't be any powder on my dinning room chairs.

Last Cast Removal

He was so excited. He knew exactly what we were there for and what that meant for him.

Those are the nastiest and longest toe nails I have ever seen.

But that foot sure is gorgeous.

Bo's first bath in about 3 months. It didn't matter how cold the water got he did not want to get out.
