Half way there!

As of today I am twenty weeks pregnant. At twenty weeks the baby is approximately 1 pound and 7 1/2 inches long. I am able to feel his movements much more now and he even gave Jeff a great big kick last night. He (the baby) loves when the kids talk to him, I can feel him squirming all around when they do. Today I signed Kati up for a sibling class. She is very excited about going to the hospital and getting to learn new things about the baby. Only half way and already I am uncomfortable big, I guess that is just part of being pregnant with number 3.

Valentine Shirt

I found this cute idea on the Internet for a valentine shirt. You let the kids sponge paint hearts onto a shirt, then you go back and write comments on them like those Sweetheart candies. She had a great time. She asked after everyone, "Is this one pretty?" I am trying to teach her it doesn't matter if anyone else thinks she or her stuff is pretty; that it only matters what she thinks.
I let Kati go first because, well because Bear is just crazy about her. I knew he would watch her doing it better than he would listen to me telling him how.
And he did a great job too.
However, he did get the paint a few other places than just the shirt. It was hard to get off.
They did a great job, huh?

Outback Bread

I saw a recipe for a 'new to me' bread on the news this morning. My thought was "why not, it will make the day go faster". The kids love to bake with me and I love it too. I hope this is something they remember about their childhood.

They thought it was very yummy.

One full day

Jeffrey is out of town. When he is gone I have to pack my day full of things to do or I am a grumpy mess. Not because I'm scared or I can't do things without him, that's not it. I am fully self-sufficient. The problem is Jeffrey is my best friend and when you live with your best friend and see them everyday you miss them like crazy when they are gone. So from the minute we got up I had us on the go so I would have time to think about how much I truly miss my love. As soon as I got the kids up I dressed them and headed out the door. We stopped for a special treat of donut holes in the car. From there we went on to Sam's and Wal-mart and when I shop, I shop, for hours. After nap we headed to the post office. I love living in a small town. The lady working that day saw the address on my check and said "I remember when you guys bought the house and you send out those cute post cards with the kids on them." Then they went on about my cute kids and gave them coloring books from the post office. Small towns are great.
From there we went to the park because the weather was so nice. Brendon said he was riding a cow, silly boy.
Kati kept saying how cold the sand was.
What a handsome guy.
Their laughter could be heard loud and clear.

After that it was on to another store because Wal-mart didn't have something I needed. I hate these germ infested things but the kids absolutely love them.

Grandma came over for dinner and you know the kids loved that.

This doesn't have anything to do with our busy day but it was funny. Bear is picking his toe jam out and saying yucky.

Our day ended with us working on Sign Language and put us a little closer to Jeffrey getting home.

Cookies always taste better when made with a friend!

McDonald's

We took the kids out for Dollar Happy Meal night. We went to a new McD's that Jeff found earlier in the day. I love it! This is a picture of both kids all the way at the top. I am so excited for Bear that he gets to play too.
Now this just grosses me out. I don't know if I have mentioned it or not but Brendon loves dips, ketchup, bbq, ranch, honey. Jeff ordered the kids apple dippers instead of fries and Bear used the caramel dip for chicken nuggets and fries. He refused to put it on the apples.

In the words of Jeff

I have finally seen someone who can eat ice cream as fast as my dad

I have never worked out so hard in my life

Not really. Anybody who knows me knows I can't and don't work out. My heart wouldn't allow that even for one minute. But never the less my whole body is sore, even my stomach muscles. I got a flu shot on Wednesday and I know some people don't believe you can get sick from it but I am not one of those people. I just makes since to me that if they are putting a little bit of the flu strain in you so your body can build natural antibodies that it can make you sick. Yesterday it was just the sore body, but today it even hurts to breathe in. I'm sure people think, what's the problem you're a stay-at-home mom you don't have do anything all day. So far from the truth. There are still bathes to be had, diapers to change and it's the strangest thing these kids still want to eat wither I am sick or not. But we are going to take it easy. We are going to have "A Lazy Bones Day", in our house that means everyone stays in their p.j.'s and we watch a movie. At least it will be a little quieter in the house, Brendon has whined and cried about everything under the sun this morning. Maybe I'm being unreasonable, maybe it was unfair of me to give him a drink with breakfast or try to wash his hands and face afterwards. Anyway I am off to do nothing, or as much of nothing a stay-at-home mom can do.

SNOW SNOW SNOW

Winter Wonderland

Kati has been asking when it would snow here for a few weeks now. Her desire for snow deeply intensified when she saw picture of her cousins in another state playing in it. Just yesterday she was asking me about it again. Sadly I had to tell her I didn't think she would get to see any but "maybe". This morning Jeff told me to look outside and surprise we had snow! So for three more hours I waited very impatiently to wake the kids. When I woke them I told Kati there was a surprise but we had to get dressed first. At first she was not to keen on the idea of putting pants over her warm p.j.'s but when this child can say she is cold when it is 90 outside I knew she would need to be bundled for this. She was so excited with the anticipation of what the surprise was when we kept adding clothes, and hats and gloves. She asked "Do I need to close my eyes for the surprise?" I asked if she wanted to and she said yes. Then she couldn't wait to close then but it takes a long time to get two kids all bundled. We took a break half way through because Growly Bear made an appearance. He has to eat first thing. We went in and had sausage biscuits and as Kati calls it, "hot coffee". It's really only hot chocolate but I think she wants to be like Uncle Jared. We are saving the backyard play for when Daddy gets home.
The most pitiful snowman you have ever seen but there wasn't a lot of snow.

Brendon was enjoying all the birds that were out to play in the snow

Kati getting me with a snowball
The had a good time chasing me around the yard

This is Bug learning about icicles. If you will notice there is no picture of Bear with one. I handed it to him and said "Stay here with it Buddy, it's sharp." So naturally Brendon immediately begins to run with it.

Winter weather

This weather is an unusual sight around here and it's nice for a little while but I'm sure Jeffrey is tired of calling me to let me know he got to work okay and I am tired of worrying so much for his safety (which I do to the tenth degree when I am pregnant anyway). Oh and I didn't mention that I hate to be cold! However, I can take time to thank God that we have a warm home and my kids are safe from freezing weather.

Time out

I have had to resort to strapping him to a chair. He wont stay by himself and if I sit there too he just tries to make me laugh.

Just griping

What is the point of signing in at a business to be waited on if they aren't going to go by the list anyway. I sign in as I would told and sit down while I wait with two kids. Now you can't help but notice my kids. First of all they are as cute as can be and secondly they can't be quite. Not to say that they scream and yell while we are out it's just that they have to talk. They could never win the quite game. So anyway, I am waiting and another man who came in after I was already waiting to get service first. It's not that the employee didn't see me, he looked right at the list then takes the man. He even makes eye contact with me, how rude. I may not have been in the work force for nearly two years but I assume the right thing for him to do would be, "Excuse me sir, this lady was here before, I'll be with you in a moment." I'm just saying........

About the video

Brendon is serious about eating. When we sit down for a meal Kati wants us all next to the table while we pray and wants to wait until everyone is sitting before she begins. Not Bear, once the food is on the table it's fair game. It doesn't even have to be his plate, if he can reach it he is going to eat it. There have been numerous time during dinner he just reaches over with his fork and steals something off my plate. He may even have the same thing but, as you know moms, mine just looks better. Anyway, the video is long but I hope you enjoy it.

What a good big sister

Jeffrey got to feel our newest little guy kicking today. It's so exciting to share it with him now. We are dying to know what he will look like. Kati thinks he will have blue eyes and Jeffrey thinks they will be brown.

A nice day for some warm soup

Kati likes the "juice" and Bear likes the carrots.
Brendon loves bread no matter what you do to it.
Jeffrey thought it would be a good idea to give them straws to drink up the broth. It was cute...........
but it made me want to barf.

What a fun day

This is Kati's new Whale ,well, actual make that Whale 2. We got her a new on Saturday but he bit the dust right away. Just me and the kids went on Wednesday and got a new one.
After that we made a visit to our local donkey. The kids love him.
This is Kati telling Airbud about her pretty red shirt under her jacket. He really looks interested doesn't he.
During nap a late Christmas present came.
Bear couldn't bounce on his without help but laughed uncontrollable when Jeff did it for him.
I am glad they didn't get here for Christmas. Now the kids have something new and they love it.

A fun cold day at the park

He just looks so goofy but that's why I love this picture

He got hit in the head with a rocking horse. Since then he has gotten two more bruises in nearly the same spot. His poor head is just various shades of blue, purple and yellow. Having a boy is so different. Jeff says it has nothing to do with him being a boy but Kati was never this banged up
