Uncle John Marky was home for avisit, now it's back to Germany

He is growing to fast already

A trip to the "radio"

...not really, it was a trip to the rodeo. The kids really enjoyed themselves. Here they are at the opening ceremony, see Bear wearing his hat over his heart like Kyle.
They actually went out for the mutton run, Uncle Jason said Bear cried the whole time

The kids got fun shaped balloons too

Daddy

I didn't get my Daddy until I was about fourteen when he came to be the pastor of our church. So with that being said I missed out on all the rough housing and what-not that Jeff and the other boys got when they were little. However, yesterday Daddy came by to visit and while he was here he read books to the kids (by the way don't ever offer to read to the kids unless you have a few hours to spare) and Kati picked out one of my favorites from when I was younger. So even though I am now a grown women and far to old to be climbing into someones lap for story time God gave me a little piece of something through my children that I missed out on; a moment in time listening to one of my favorite stories read with all the enthusiasms that only my Daddy can read with. I love you Daddy, I truly couldn't have asked for a better Daddy or grandfather for my children.

Daddy is at camp in the evenings this week, so to pass the time and beat the heat I let the kids have Popsicles and play in the kiddie pool.

Look at his cute little toes poking out of the afghan.

Cherries

We had cherries at lunch today, can you tell he liked them? I am so glad there is Spray n wash

God sure did give us beautiful kids

His first real bath

Isn't he adorable!
I guess sharing the story will be funny to everyone else. He got his first real bath on Friday after he barfed all over me and him, I had to change my clothes too. At the very end of the bath he peed and had to get washed off again. I then wrapped him up in his nice soft towel only to have him the poop on me, causing me once again to change clothes and start yet another load of laundry. I didn't wear this many outfits in a day even as a teen-age girl.

Just some Happenings

  • Kati has taken up toenail biting, that's right it's not a type-o I said toenail
  • Timothy may be that gassiest child in America
  • Brendon now only wants to get in the car from Timothy's side for fear that I might leave him, because I have done that soooooo often in the past j/k
  • In all my after baby flab Kati wants to know where my belly button is going
  • After asking Kati if the firework she saw was pretty Bear told me his were handsome
  • and my favorite story of late....We had to wait outside a single bathroom quite some time before the occupant left. When we finally got inside Brendon took a deep breath and said "Mommy it smells good in here". Boys

He is so alert

Dinner with friends

We had Jon, Brandy, and Lan over for dinner last night. The kids had a great time playing outside even though there were a million mosquitoes and it was stuffy hot.

Uncle Jesse

We had a nice visit with Uncle Jesse. He recently came home from serving our country in Afghanistan but is now going back to New York.

The best part about baking cookies is making them with friends

It started out as one m&m for the kids and one for the cookie and it ended with one for the cookie and ooooh about five for the kids

What a good listener

When Kati asked if they could play with her sticker book I didn't realize that meant covering her body in "tattoo's". I guess I can't be mad, she was obeying my rule of "Stickers are only for our bodies or paper".

This is the "I'm starving to death, please feed me now" face

What an angel

Our artist

It's kind of hard to see with the shadow from the tree but the huge person is me with Timothy in my belly and the head with arms and legs is Jeff.

Happy 4th of July

Who knew seven years ago when Jon and Brandy came with us to Jeff's home town (I guess you could call it that, he has lived so many places) to watch fireworks that it was something we would continue to do year after year. Even though we have great fun now that first year will always be my favorite. Sitting on the warm pavement all snuggled up with Jeffrey is a memory I will treasure even when I am old and gray.
when I looked back at pictures later I realized I didn't take nearly enough. Lan had a great time leaning against Bear and Bear thought it was funny too but only after I explained Lan was being funny. I look forward to Timothy being older, the boys will be each a year apart and I'm hoping they will be great friends.
He even appeared to watch the show for awhile
There is no pillow better than mommy
Brendon spent the entire show like this. The next day he told me his neck hurt, gee I wonder why.
Maybe next year I will be brave and ask someone to take a picture of all eight of us, who knows maybe by then there will be nine of us ;) you better get cracking Jon and Brandy cause it ain't gonna be us

"Tunder"

In one of the many storms we have been blessed with lately there was a loud clap of thunder. When I say I loud I mean loud, really loud, like shake the floors of our pier and beam home loud. When it happened everyone was hanging out in the living room except for poor Bear who was in his own room playing cars. You have never seen a little kid run so fast to get to us. Since then the poor thing won't go to his room unless someone goes with him, even if it's just Kati. I can't wait for this weather to stop so maybe he will forget, poor baby.
