Yippee

I had been putting this post off because I was hoping to have a picture to go with it but............

My mommy is getting married!!

"Radio"

Just about any time any of the boys or the kids come home we all go to the rodeo. At first I just went along with my book because I love the family and they love the rodeo. But then I began to notice that I wasn't getting very much read and I was asking a lot of questions. And then later I noticed that when one of the boys came to visit that I actually thought to myself "Oh, we will get to go to the rodeo." Now I very much look forward to it. And don't tell anyone but occasionally I watch on t.v.John took Timbo down by the arena to get a closer look.
This is my favorite part and Timothy loved it too. I could watch bull riding all night. It's so exciting.
Timbo was disappointed when the riding was over. "Gcow?"
I hate that this picture came off smeary.
These kids love to be together and play so well together.

We spent a lot of time out at Jason's during the holiday. Kyle, Kayla, Jesse and John were all home. I'll have more pictures from there later, these are some that I just grabbed together.Kyle is all boy.
I was trying to do some pictures with Bo but he wasn't really willing. He had just one thing on his mind.
This is him agreeing that he wanted to go see the cows.
Cow is his new favorite word. He says it for more than just cows. He repeats it several times a day. You can't mention John, Jason, Grandpa, or Jason's place without him saying "gcow".
Last time Timbo saw Uncle John was in June of 2007. He has found himself a new best friend. John said several times that he was going to pack Timbo in his suitcase to take him back to Germany. I think Bo half wanted him too.

Part two

Timothy just got right in there. He wasted no time trying to make friends with just about everything he saw.
I loved this little guy. He was so cute he almost looked fake.
I wouldn't want to meet him in a dark alley.
While the boys drove Kati got to stand on the console with her head out the sunroof. Being the sophisticated mother that I am I encouraged her to stick her tongue out like a dog.

She enjoyed it.

I guess sophistication brings about sophistication.
You really have to keep the windows up for these guys. Someone should tell them no means no.
I enjoyed his horns.

This is proof that sometimes Kati can and will be brave. The moons must have all been aligned on that day.
And this is proof that he is a stinker sometimes. If you will notice he is stepping on the goat and then if you will look a little closer you will notice that he is watching himself do it.

He really has us all fooled.

Part one of the drive thru zoo

Jeff actually got some time off and we couldn't have been happier. He didn't tell me until the day before so I was extract surprised. He surprised us again and made plans for us to go to the drive thru zoo. It was a blessing from God that the day Jeff picked also happened to at a reduced price. I love how God works things like that out.
Heights make me weak in the knees, well truthfully they make me sick to my stomach, but for Jeff it is just a thrill. So we stopped right here will Jeff peered from the window and played with my extra lens. And look what he found...Way down there was our chance to see giraffes right next to us. I couldn't wait to get down there.
I told the boys to put the peddle to the medal and after a while my eyes were graced with this beauty.
I had already told the kids how excited I was. I said that even if I was afraid I was going to force myself to feed them anyhow.
Imagine my delight we they had no hesitancy and came right up to Jeff.
And then his friend came and welcomed himself right into our car through the sun roof. They were so close I had to scoot down to the floor board to try and get a picture of their massive heads.Once they started filling up the car Kati ducked down and Timothy started hollering "seat!seat!". Those are his tiny feet, he moved all the way to the back as well.I never got that chance to take pictures from further down. As soon as I got lower she just came to me. I have never had so much fun being near an animal. The dolphins are definitely a close second. But being right there, being able to touch and smell the giraffes. I could feel their rough tongues on the palm of my hand and see the underside of their lips while they ate. It was wonderful to be that close to one of God's creatures and experience them that way. It made me sit in wonder at all he had done with this beautiful majestic animal.
Bear was even brave enough to feed them. After a while they backed off a little and by that time Timbo had warmed up a little. You can see here he is peering out the sunroof looking for them.He didn't have to wait long for them to come back.
We stood up for a picture but quickly got back in when he nipped my arm. He was just so gorgeous I couldn't resist trying to pet him, but I guess I should have asked permission first.

I probably should have spent my time compiling all the pictures for the posts that I am behind on but instead I played with some pictures that I took out at Jason's place.

This is one of my favorite places to be. I love to just sit in the quiet and listen to God's creations and feel his breeze across my face.
