A beautiful day

I love our backyard.
It's huge.
It's one of the main reasons we bought our house.
Growing up I had a huge backyard and Jeff and his brothers were always outside so it was important to us to find a backyard we loved.
We did.Like the kids plaything.
Kati called it her park.
Our yard is so big I couldn't fit all of it into this picture....

or this picture.
You could probably fit 3 - 4 of our houses in the backyard, but if you have seen our house that isn't saying a lot, it's little, but enough.

With the money from our tax return, the first year we moved in, we bought a play scape for the kids. Jeff worked hard, even at night sometimes, with the help of his brothers.

I think it was worth every penny.

I think they do too.

Here is the reason I went on and on about how big our yard is; we spent all day getting the leaves up. I think we have seven oak trees in the backyard, not counting all the leaves that get blown in from neighbors trees. It may not seem like that many bags but its all mulched so you can fit more into a bag at a time.
I think that may be the first time we have gotten all the leaves up.
A few weeks ago we worked for hours and only cleaned about 1/5 of the yard.
We decided we really needed a lawn guy, oh wait, we can't afford a lawn guy, so we bought a mulching mower and it was definitely worth the money.

Man that's a lot of leaves.
