Piggy

Well over a year ago we noticed a brown spot on Timothy's scalp. It was as if it suddenly appeared, one day it was just there. More than one person tried to whip the dirt off of his head.

At his three year check up Jeffrey told me to be sure and point it out to his Ped. He looked it over and gave it a big name, Pigmented Nivus. In other words, mole. It wasn't raised up so it's hard for me to think of as a mole but that's what it was.

We went to the surgeon our Ped recommended and he thought it was a legitimate concern. Being that we can't see it when his hair is grown out and more importantly he can't check it as an adult he thought it should be removed. Nothing was wrong with it now but at some point it could be dangerous.

We went to have it removed last week. It went really well. He ended up with seven staples.
