Lost His First Tooth This Morning

They've got ducks in Arizona

Jeff took us to feed ducks the other day, one of our favorite things to do in Texas.

I think Bear may have eaten more bread than he gave the ducks. I don't think the ducks minded, they weren't very interested in us anyway.

One more reason we love our area

Family Date NightOut by our fountain spot they are having a wonderful summer event. Every Friday night they are showing a movie outside. Different area locations offer specials and there is usually some free activity for the children.

We look forward to it all week long!

Little Man?

Little Man had his sixth birthday on Friday. He doesn't feel so little any more. He is reading everything his little eyes come across. He has his first real crush. He is making his own books. He also has his first loose tooth. And in a blink I think he will be taller than me.



We did things all out of sorts for his birthday. He used those brown eyes and talked me into opening his presents before his party. Then he got to eat his cup cake and ice cream before his pizza.

Close Call

"Babe, is Daddy Bubba in time out or something?"

"No. Why?"

"Bo can't find him."

So we begin our search around the house and the car. And then it hit me.....the book store! Daddy Bubba was left behind.

Jeffrey saved the day and took Bo to pick him up. We are so grateful for who ever turned him in.

Bear's First Field Trip

Bear got to go on his first field trip and I was privileged enough to get to go to.

Bear couldn't stop talking about the trip, how long it was going to be and was I still going?

I have been on plenty of field trips and this was by far my favorite. The kids got to pick turnips, carrots, collard greens and cilantro. Bear picked the biggest turnip of all.

You can't beat ice cream on a warm day!

These were the carrots Bear picked. We used them with our roast and they were delicious.
