Bear got to go on his first field trip and I was privileged enough to get to go to.
Bear couldn't stop talking about the trip, how long it was going to be and was I still going?
I have been on plenty of field trips and this was by far my favorite. The kids got to pick turnips, carrots, collard greens and cilantro. Bear picked the biggest turnip of all.
You can't beat ice cream on a warm day!
These were the carrots Bear picked. We used them with our roast and they were delicious.
We went on our first water park trip for the summer. It was like going for the first time for Bear since he doesn't remember last year. He played a little bit but not much. I think he was most excited about his hand me down water shoes. Kati had a great time too but once a
Monday Jeff and I were watching the news when the said something about the George Straight concert that was coming up. Jeff said that looked like fun and I agreed. I really agreed when the said the Reba would be there as well. For as long as I can remember I have loved her music and wanted to see her in concert.
We made plans to go and were fortunate enough that it all worked out. The line up for the night was to be Julianne Hough, Blake Shelton, Reba and George. On our way there Jeff and I were racking our brains trying to remember who Blake Shelton was but as soon as he got started we knew who he was. This is my favorite song of his.....
Of course the high light of the night for me was seeing Reba. I have to admit I acted a fool when she came on. It was exciting to me to see the sea of flashing cameras when she came on stage.

(More old posts I found in drafts. Bo's Christmas party and his favorite teacher.)
Bear still talks about his best bud from last year, Slate. I surprised Brendon and invited Slate over for a sleep over with out telling Bear. He was so happy to see Slate just show up at our house.
They started the night off with pizza and a movie (How to Train Your Dragon).
Timothy, who has never met a stranger, became friends with Slate right away.....
but that may have just been so he could play with his pillow pet.
The boys asked if the next morning we could outside find stick and make tents in the backyard. It's cold here so I thought they would enjoy an indoor tent.
Slate brought his DS so Bear finally got to play with one.
Not long after the pictures from the last post were taken my little guy took a nose dive into the edge of our stone porch. It got pretty swollen and the next day he had some pretty good bruises under his eyes and along his nose.

She wanted to play in the rain but really she wanted to play with her umbrella.
