I just love this picture

I love everything about it. The colors. The kids. The background. But I think my favorite part is Timothy's face and hand motion. The kid looks like he just won the lottery.
I guess when you think about my kids though and the kinds of things they enjoy, going to Sea World probably was like winning the lottery.

Isn't this a great picture?! Jeffrey took it. I don't think I will let him have the camera again. Every time he tries something I am good at he does better. I'll just say I dropped the camera or something :)

A long time comin

For three years we have loved our baby's feet more than most. They have been very dear not only to our hearts but our families. If you remember our little guy was born with a foot condition. We have tried several things, including a cast that he figured how to get out of all by himself, but at three it is still the same.

For three years we have loved our podiatrist and his staff. It helped that everyone in the office is just in love with Timothy. And why wouldn't they be they have watched him grow up. At our last visit Dr. McGoodDaddy said it was time to consider surgery. I will spare you the long story and make it short. His feet are not going to get better on their own, he won't be growing out of this. We can do nothing. We can do surgery now. Or we can do surgery when he is six. At six his bones would have to be cut. We opted for surgery now.

Next week Dr. McGoodDaddy will operate on Timothy under a live x-ray. After he gets his feet in position he will place pins in his feet to keep them that way. The pins will be coming out of his skin so Timothy will need casts again to keep him from pulling the pins out.

Happy isn't the right word to say what we feel. We are just glad that we are trying something new to help him out.

I would appreciate your prayers. I have absolute faith in Dr. McGoodDaddy but this anesthesiologist doesn't know us. He has no personal connection I don't want this to be "just another day at the office" for him. Please pray that everyone involved is on their top game and that our little guy receives the best treatment.

Oh, I should mention....
He will only be doing one foot at a time so Timothy can still be mobile. Yes, I said mobile. Dr. McGoodDaddy said Timothy will figure out all on his own how to walk on his cast.

History

Right before spring break Bear's school talked about the Alamo. He wanted to go so bad and thanks to the school suggesting that the kids ask their parents to take them he asked several times. It wasn't a possibility then but once we decided we were going to San Antonio I knew we had to make a stop there. Unfortunately there are no pictures aloud inside. However our trip there turned out many great places for photos. These are just some of the many many that were taken that afternoon.

My Husband Rocks

Change is not my thing. I'm getting better but I like to stick to the norm. Jeff on the other hands enjoys the new.

Our phone contract is up and we can get free phones. Jeff couldn't wait to get something new. I was happy with my blackberry. Why you ask. I like the rollie ball. I don't really know how to do anything on it but the ball makes me happy. Jeffrey asked me if I wanted something new and I just shrugged my shoulders. He asked what I wanted and I just said "Something girlie". Real helpful I know.

And he was off. He went and picked something out for me, giving it much thought, knowing that I hate change and probably wasn't going to like it in the beginning. Knowing all that he still took the time to look for me.

And ya know what? I love it.

That is after all the grumbling I did in the beginning.

We love sharks around here. My kids amaze me with how much they know about them. They have a few books that they "read" (or in Bug's case read) over and over again.
I love the shark house at Sea World and I was really excited to share the experience with my kids. I was bummed that there wasn't the hammerhead any more and we couldn't see to find the Wobbegong but Kati did spot something different in the corner. It was in such a position that we couldn't see all of it. Will pulled Bear over to check it out too. When we got back to the hotel we searched in our shark book from the library (yes we brought a book from the library with us, what can I say, my kids love books). I spotted a shark we have never noticed before. The zebra shark. Still can't figure the name, it wasn't stripped, it was spotted.

I married a hottie and then we made a little hottie.
