I just love this place

Boy am I behind. I am just now blogging about the flower place and that was two weeks ago. Elaine invited us along for a day of fun and pictures and you know if pictures are involved then I am definitely in. We had a wonderful time. Tons of pictures were taken , a child was lost as well as some cash, Elaine was nearly in a wreck on the way home, oh and she was also interview by a news station, of course I don't have the picture anymore because I tried to burn the cd myself and lost about ten pictures, one really darling one of her boys. Man is that ever a run-on, if I wasn't so lazy I would try and fix it but let's face it , it would still be wrong anyway. Anyway, the point was we had a great time and I really mean that. By the way you won't see many pictures of Bear because he didn't want to be in most of them.Gosh, I didn't realize what a herd we were until I got home and looked at pictures of us. (Thanks for taking this picture Elaine, I love it.)

If I had thought about what a great friend Elaine is I would have put more make-up on this morning because I would have known she would be taking a picture of us. Thanks
What a happy little bugger. You can't help but smile when you see that gummy grin.

There was a chocolate exhibit that I truly enjoyed. They had different stations out explaining how it is processed from the bean to the wonderful treat we eat. Caleb got a great science lesson and my kids didn't care at all about the learning but were excited to get the chocolate at the end.
They had a great time playing with the gadgets.
Wanna hear something interesting. M & M's were originally created for U.S. soldiers.
What a cutie

This picture makes me want to lay (lie ?) down in the sun with a great book and waste an entire afternoon, well minus the millions of children that were running around.

Flashback Friday

Why Jeffrey ever stuck around for me I will never understand. If you ask Jeff he would say he doesn't understand why he stuck around either. It sounds awful but it's just the truth. He says he tried to stop caring about me but he just couldn't.

Why did I keep coming back? I'll tell you why I kept coming back. This boy use to dream of holding my hand, holding my hand y'all, now you can't go wrong with a boy like that. And yet I did things all wrong. We dated briefly when we were fifteen, if you can call that dating, we didn't go anywhere. We just called it "going out", of course the grown-ups would still tease us because we didn't go anywhere, so by their standards we were "going steady" I guess. I was not use to having a boy be so nice and honest with me and to be truthful I just had issues. I would pick fights with this poor kid and he would apologize as if he had done something wrong. I couldn't stand it anymore so I called him up broke up with him, real classy huh. As I hung up the phone I looked at my mother and said "I could marry him someday".

We went our separate ways dating wise but remand close friends. I should mention that I was Jeff's first girlfriend, how cute is that, not his first wife but his first girlfriend. Anyway things began to change for me when he became interested in another girl at church. This wasn't his first girl since we split however this time it just tore me up inside. I should note that they were "just talking" translation, they weren't steady but liked one another.

I tried to deal with my feelings and then I tried to get her interested in a boy similar to Jeff and closer to her age but it was to no avail. Above all else I just wanted Jeffrey to be happy, I just left things be, until that night.

Our mutual friend told us about a concert out in the middle of no where. When I say out in the middle of no where I truly mean it. It was a very blaire witch night. The concert was on some land way back in the woods. I rode with our friend and some other people and Jeff and his girl were to meet us later. Sadly for her, but luckily for me, she was grounded and everything changed from that night on. When it was time to head home I caught a ride with Jeff. On the way home that night we talked and talked and talked, until I said "how come we are both talking about the same thing but neither one of us is really saying it". I was referring to that we both thought God intended for us to be together and one day marry and yet we were both dancing around the topic. It changed everything for us. Although I can not recall any more conversations word for word from that night the bubbly emotions that swell within my chest will never go away.

Two days later we became an item and just two short months later he asked me to be his wife.

I'm so glad he couldn't stop caring.

My little guy

I couldn't find if I had posted pictures of his feet before we started the whole brace thing. I wanted you to be able to see the change with just one week of casting. All the crying is hard but see the difference the casts have made makes all the tears worth it. I just keep reminding myself that it is making him better and he wont remember any of it.
If you want to see a picture of his feet days after being born here you go.

Casting #3

We went for Timbo's third casting today. You could say things went well if you don't count the fact that he screamed continuously, got a small cut and the kids were scared for him. Those things did happen but I'm just being dramatic, it really did go well. We were sent back to our room, I'm calling it ours because by the end of this it may feel like a second home. Anyhoo another nurse came to start sawing off his casts. The kids are not fans. I explained that Timbo would cry but he wasn't hurt just scared. Kati spent the whole time with her ears covered and Brendon at one point said "Mommy, I love you and I need you to hold me and kiss me", see not fans. Anyhoo, two anyhoo's are two to many, Sarah our regular nurse came in to help. The poor guy had me, Sarah and the other nurse holding him while she sawed away. Let me tell you those were some thick casts . They had to be cut in two places to get them off, they were very careful to watch out for his toes. He did get a small cut, you can't even really call it a cut but I'm not sure what else to call it. A paper cut is deeper. The point I am trying to get at is that I am in no way upset. They were very careful. Once the casts were off you could see a couple of spots were his feet had rubbed against the casts but they weren't bad.

Now let's get to the good part. When Dr. McGoodDaddy came in he smiled really big. He took hold of his feet and began doing his doctor thing and said Timbo's feet felt really good. He said his flexibility was better and Timothy wasn't fighting as hard as he did last time. Wohoo!

He got his new casts and we went with green this time. When we checked out the lady up front asked if he was sleeping and of course after all that trauma he was. After I said yes, she said she thought he would be exhausted. The poor guy was screaming so loud she could hear him. This is their first experience with saw. Clearly they were not pleased.
They used this devise to crack it open.
This foot is looking good but just wait until you see the next one....
check that baby out. Now that brings tears to my eyes.
Now he is getting them back on. Dr McGoodDaddy wraps him in a stocking, then puts on cotton and then the cast. He does okay with all the until this part comes. This is were Dr. McGD moves his foot were he wants it and holds it there until the cast dries. Can you see how red his face is from all the crying?
these make kicking the bouncy sit toys lots easier
what a cutie

Missed me, missed me, now ya gotta kiss me

Well, it's not the right kind of missed and it wasn't just me, it was me and Timothy, but hey it was a catchy title.

Last night was wonderful, glorious, fantastic, amazing, magnificent, outstanding mom's night. Last night we were all a bunch of bumps on a log and went home early. Don't get me wrong, there were some great laughs in there, they probably had to do with post baby bodies, poop, or vomit, ya know typical mom topics. But because we went home early I saw the kids before bed time.Which wasn't so bad because I was showered with lots of love and stickers. I guess when you are around all day long no one can miss you. Boy did they miss me, can't you see. By the way, the baby doesn't sit in the bumbo on the couch, no one call cps or anything.
He just loves pulling her hair.
They missed their baby too!

My boys

Bear is so cute!
